Olympics is over!!

The dutch supporters on the stands.. SICK!!
First of all, sorry this update is so late! It has taken me some time to let the events of the past few weeks sink in. I want to thank ALL the people who have been emailing, calling, supporting and cheering for me during the Olympics and at the olympics!! It was an amazing experience and I couldn’t have done it without all the support. I am happy to be back and relax in Holland with friends and family!
Park City
Today was the last day of training in Park City, had a great time. Here is some footage that we shot during training!
Cowtown.. the city of the imaginary cowboys!
Here the video of the run that gave me a 44.5 score and got me to the Grande-finale.
Quebec qualification run.
Sorry for the delay, but finally it’s here.. the video of my qualification run in Quebec! Sorry that it took such a long time, but I was very busy with other important business (one of them was of course celebrating). I also had some trouble with getting the footy on my computer. Well anyways here it is, enjoy!!
Tenth
Last night couldn’t get any better, in the semi- finals I had an awesome run and went to the finals in first position. In the Grand-Finale my run wasn’t as good as in the semi’s, although I ended as 10th. I’m satisfied because I am back on track and this gives me such a good feeling, being in the finals twice after such a big injury!
Last week …
After the results in Quebec we had to celebrate and I can tell you the celebration was great! My Eye is totally healed and a big thanks to everyone for the nice comments on my result and Olympic qualification!! Right now I’m in Calgary doing the last Worldcup before the Olympics. Yesterday I qualified for the semi-finals, which are scheduled for today. So right now, I’m off to the hill and you will hear from me soon.
Olympics nearby..
Because of my 11th place last friday in Stoneham I’m almost certain of representing Huizen, the Netherlands, at the Olympics. So of course I’m happy!! This is a Dutch radio-interview I did, check it out! Today I’m flying to Calgary for the last Worldcup-stop before Vancouver. Sweet!
Back in business
I’ve been riding now for 4 days since my accident. I had two good days of riding in PC and today I finished my second day in Quebec. It feels really good to be snowboarding again. I never thought it was going to go this good! I Already did some runs today and I feel good for tomorrow’s competition. Check the update tomorrow for what I’ve done in the competition!
